The Cellar

The book that I think everyone should read is The Cellar. The story itself is about a series of kidnappings, rapes, and murders. A young girl named Summer is kidnapped by a man named Clover. She is then given a new name of Lily and is thrown into a cellar. Once there she then meets three other girls: Rose, Violet, and Poppy. She knew that life was never going to be the same. Given my brief description of the book I believe that everyone should read this book because it tells people to be cautious because there are many things in this world that can happen. It also shows people the inside mind of a kidnapper and murder it lets them kind of picture what it would be like to be in those kinds of situations. The author paints a vivid picture on life that Summer lived and it also lived in the mind of Clover.

Don't Text and Drive

Listen to my story
It doesn't need any glory
But if you listen well
Everything will be swell
It's about texting and driving
And about how people are dying
It happens everyday, you see
Texting and driving even though we shouldn't be
We text on freeways
Then on highways
When we get home safely we are so glad
Then an accident happens and things go bad
A young girl is now hurt
And blood is on the driver's shirt
That young girl is dead now
The driver sleeps at night somehow
They either feel remorse and shame
Or they think they are not to blame
Do you see what's wrong in our little world
Look at the charts, the numbers go up in a whirl
Please heed my warning
So that more families aren't mourning
This poem that I say so proud
I'll say again and say so loud
This issue will be put to rest
If only we just try our best
But if we don't real soon
Our fate will be the same too.

Phones for life

Recently a rule in our school have been enforced. The rule itself is that we are not allowed to use our phones in the hallway or in the building. To me, I think this rule is unfair. Honestly I'm okay with not having them in class because people do stupid things with their phones. I understand that rule but what is the true harm of using it in the hallways. The most we can do with using our phones in the hallway is reply to a few text messages or study for a test we forgot to study for the night before. Also I don't see why you would punish everyone for what a few people are doing. To me it doesn't make sense but I don't have a say. I do believe that with time maybe they'll ease up but until then we have to deal with the rule.

Magical Phone of Wonder

Honestly, phones are pretty cool just by being phones. Even so, I would never call a smartphone a “smart phone”. I think I’ll actually consider it a smart phone when it does everything I need it to do for me. The one thing that I would love to have on my phone is being able to find me instead of me finding it. I want to be able to say “Phone come to me,” and just have float into my lap. Another thing that I would want my phone to do is make me pizza on command. There have been plenty of times where I've
actually forgotten my lunch money or my lunch and I just wanted something to eat. With this function on the phone I would never go hungry and I would be able to save the money so my mom and I can do more things together. Those are only a few demands if I had to put apps on my phone.

Sharknado

I awoke in forest with trees as high as I could see. I looked around trying to recall what happened before I ended up here. I remember sitting in class working on my English paper, then Mr. Juarez comes up to me and lifts up a sledge hammer and then it was dark. Anger consumed me in minutes then I see a shadow move above me. I looked up to see sharks swimming above me. That suddenly it gave an idea. I climb up the tallest tree and I look around to find the biggest shark. Then I finally see one big enough to follow through on my plan. As soon as the shark was close enough I jumped on top of its head and ride it to school. From there I take my take my revenge on my class mates. I had my shark eat every single one in the class and let it go as soon as the job was done. A lesson is to be learned here: don’t cross me.

Most of the things that comfort me are very important people in my life. In a way their comfort is welcoming yet foreign to me. I say that because I’m usually the one comforting them and I usually don’t let anyone close enough to comfort me. So the fact that they can comfort me shows how much I trust and love them. Whenever I need someone I know I can always count on them. The same thing goes for them as well because they know that no matter what I’ll be there for them, too. Even when they’re not around they still find some way to comfort me and that makes me love them even more.
